Municipal Bank PLC has been licensed as an investment intermediary with the Financial Supervision Commission under No RG-03-0128/1997.
As an investment intermediary, the Bank has the right to perform the following deals in local and foreign currency in Bulgaria and abroad:
- Accepting and submitting orders with regard to one or more financial instruments, including intermediation in concluding financial instrument deals;
- Executing customer orders at the expense of customers;
- Financial instrument deals for our own account;
- Portfolio management;
- Providing investment advice to customers;
- Underwriting of financial instrument issues and/or initial public offering of financial instruments with unconditional and irrevocable obligation to subscribe/acquire the financial instruments for own account;
- Initial public offering of financial instruments without unconditional and irrevocable obligation to acquire the financial instruments for own account;
- Organising multilateral trading systems.
Investment Intermediary Municipal Bank PLC also offers:
- Safekeeping and administering of financial instruments at the customers’ expense including custodial activities (keeping of financial instruments and cash of the customer at a depositary institution) and the related services like management of the money that accrues or collaterals provided;
- Providing loans for concluding deals with one or more financial instruments in case the person providing the loan participates in the deal at terms and conditions provided for in an ordinance;
- Equity structure consulting, industrial structure consulting and related issues, and advisory services related to mergers and acquisitions;
- Providing services related to foreign means of payment so long as they are related to the investment services provided;
- Investment studies and financial analyses and other forms of general advice related to financial instrument deals;
- General advice on financial instrument issues.
