Municipal Bank PLC has been licensed as an investment intermediary with the Financial Supervision Commission under No RG-03-0128/1997.
Municipal Bank PLC is also a member of the Central Depository AD and the Bulgarian Stock Exchange AD, Sofia, as of January 1998 allowing it to participate on the Bulgarian stock exchange.
The Bank offers its retail and corporate customers a wide range of services on the Bulgarian capital market:
- Sale-purchase and borrowing of shares, corporate and municipal bonds and compensatory instruments;
- Individual portfolio management for securities and/or money;
- Keeping customers’ securities at a depository institution (custody services);
- Investment services related to the above;
- Issue underwriting;
- Preparation of prospectuses for public offering of securities.

Municipal Bank PLC carries out the following deals for its customers on the foreign security markets:
- Foreign securities sale-purchase and repo-deals and intermediation;
- Underwriting issues on foreign markets;
- Individual securities portfolio management;
- Keeping customers’ foreign securities at a depository institution (custody services);
- Preparation of prospectuses for public offering of foreign securities;
- Investment services related to the above;
- Representation of the holders of foreign securities before the issuer of the securities and at the general shareholders’ meetings;
- Borrowing foreign securities;
- Information and consultancy services related to the above.
