The Governmental Institutions, the business, and the NGO’s can reach their goals only if they help each other and look for mutual interest, said Lyubomir Pavlov, Municipal Bank AD’s Chairman of the Supervisory Board, at the opening of this year’s Bulgaria Economic Forum.

The main emphasis of the forum, which took place on 2 and 3 November in Sofia with the strategic partnership of Municipal Bank AD was placed on the possibilities for cooperation between the public and private sectors (public – private partnership) in providing the infrastructure and the public services in the countries of Southeast Europe.

Municipal Bank AD offers the full package of services under Public – Private Partnership Projects, announced to the forum participants Angel Gekov, Executive Director of the Bank, in a lecture on “The Role of the Banks in the Public – Private Partnership.” The Bank is not only a lender, it is above all a partner – its success is being established by the success of its customers. Attracting the Bank at the earliest possible stage of the process facilitates decision making.

Public – Private Partnership. Financing Investment Projects in the Public Sector – Challenges and Trends” was the subject of the round table organized by Municipal Bank AD within the forum, with the participation of leading specialists of the Bank, representatives of over 20 municipalities from the country, and companies in the sphere of public and utility services. Among the official guests were the Mayor of Plovdiv Ivan Chomakov, MD, the Mayor of Bourgas Yoan Kostadinov, the Deputy Mayor of the Sofia Municipality Minko Gerdjikov, and the Executive Director of the National Association of the Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria Ginka Chavdarova.
