03.11.2004Five Playgrounds Donated By Municipal Bank Plc

Five playgrounds will be donated by Municipal Bank AD to the kids in the capital. With this initiative the Bank is aiding its partners – the municipalities – in their efforts for improving the living conditions in Sofia. The playgrounds are situated in five different quarters of the capital and their total value is BGN 32 000.

The children are already enjoying the first playground in the Southern Park. It was inaugurated on 22 October, with nearly BGN 9 000 being invested for its construction. Towers with slides and fireman’s pole, climbing arch, gym beam, Swedish wall, drawing blackboard and a double swing are part of the attractions for the young citizens of our capital.

Other similar playgrounds will open on P. Evtimii Blvd. (in front of the St. George Church), in Mladost Residential Complex (next to Patilantsi Theme Park), in Oborishte Park, and in front of the Church of Cyril and Methodius and Their Five Disciples (Sedmochislenitsi). Building the playgrounds is a continuation of Municipal Bank AD’s social initiatives. Among them are also participations in the Sofia Municipality’s “Beautiful Sofia” Project, the International Adolescent Music Festival, support for the National Mathematics Team, buying life-saving equipment (transfusion pumps) for the Children’s Onchohematology and many others.
