01.07.2014Municipal Bank Part of First Italian EU Presidency Public Discussion
A public discussion entitled “EU During the Italian Presidency and Where Bulgaria Stands” was organized on 1 July 2014 by PanEuropa Bulgaria, with the special support of Municipal Bank.
H.E. Marco Conticelli, Ambassador of Italy and Kristian Vigenin, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the event. Ambassadors, politicians, and public figures were among the guests.
On the day of the formal assumption of the presidency by Italy, H.E. Marco Conticelli announced the priorities of the Italian Presidency, including: energy policy, migration, tax reform, social and industrial policies, trade and political development of the Union.
Minister Vigenin identified the main challenges facing Bulgaria, and other important issues of national significance in his speech.
Italy takes over the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU for the twelfth time, within which the new European Commission will be chosen.
