“Bugaria’s Best City to Live In” authoritative ranking organized by Darik Radio and 24 Hours Daily was held for the sixth consecutive year. The prizes of the cities were awarded on a prestigious ceremony on 20 March 2013. Bourgas won “Bulgaria’s Best City to Live In" prize, and the mayor of the seaside resort – Dimitar Nikolov – received the award personally by the President of Bulgaria, Mr. Rosen Plevneliev.
Special prizes were also awarded to five more cities this year. Sofia was crowned as the city with sustainable infrastructure development and the prize was given to the mayor of Sofia. Mrs. Fandakova highly appreciated the prize, saying it was the highest assessment for the work of Sofia Municipality’s team.
Plovdiv got the “Art City” Award, Lovech – “Green City”, Kocherinovo – “Small Green City”, Tryavna – “Beautiful City.”
