16.04.2015Prominent Bulgarian Painter Mihail Ankov Exhibits in Municipal Bank

“And my Eyes Saw the Sunrise”—this is the motto of the exhibition of the famous Bulgarian artist Mihail Ankov. Municipal Bank hosts the exhibition and the canvases can be seen in the financial centre at 6, “Vrabcha” Street in Sofia. Fans of painting will certainly be able to find the connection between the title of the exhibition and the time in which it was opened – the beginning of the Holy Week. The event was celebrated by an interesting art performance, in which the famous violinist and pedagogue Prof. Yosif Radionov and his pupil and performed classical works for violin.

Admirer of the classical style of painting, Mihail Ankov has had over 30 solo exhibitions so far. His works are present in private collections both in Bulgaria and abroad – in Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, the USA. A special guest of the event in the head office of Municipal Bank was Dimitar Pampulov – a prominent collector, connoisseur of art and author of several books on Bulgarian artists.

The exhibition will be on display within a month, and the works are awaiting art patrons and lovers. The initiative is a part of the policy of Municipal Bank to aid Bulgarian artists and support the promotion of Bulgarian culture.
